Since the year 2015, SINOPEC have been consistently listed annually, in the Fortune Global 500. As of today, SINOPEC are currently ranked in the Top 2 of the Fortune Global 500. 

What is the Fortune Global 500?

  • It is an annual ranking of the top 500 corporations worldwide, measured by their revenue.

In the previous year (2020), SINOPEC was listed second (as shown) in the Fortune Global 500, with a total revenue of $407,009 ($M).

What is Brand Finance?

  • Brand Finance assesses the strength and worth of over 5000 worldwide brands, every year.

  • Since 2007, Brandirectory has held all of the Brand Finance rankings, specialty reports, and whitepapers that have been released. Brandirectory is known to be the most comprehensive collection of original brand valuations, brand strength analysis and royalty rate calculations. 

SINOPEC has been listed in the Top 5 rankings in the Oil & Gas category for more than five years in a row (2015-2021).

On the 26th of September 2004, SINOPEC sponsored the very first Chinese F1 (Formula 1) Grand Prix, that took place at the Shanghai International Circuit, China. It was a round of the FIA Formula One World Championships. 

The race was won by Ferrari's Rubens Barrichello. 

SINOPEC signed a long term deal which lasted for 4 years (2004-2008). 

SINOPEC have proudly sponsored Michael Patrizi in the #29 car for the 2011 Carrera Porsche Cup series. Michael is a dedicated and experienced big-race driver who is anticipated to be among the top finishes in the Carrera Cup series. The Carrera is one of Australia’s most exciting and prestigious racing series, and the #29 team has already made a big impact with podium finishes in the first rounds.

Michael’s Porsche stickered with prominent Sinopec signage makes an impressive statement on track. “Having Michael endorse Sinopec for the past year has been fantastic for the SINOPEC brand in Australia” comments Tim Seeber, ILD CEO.

Michael Patrizi commented that “Having a global brand name such as Sinopec behind the team is a great support to our effort to be the number one team in the series this year”.

Signing ceremony of the official oil and gas partners of the Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games Beijing 2022 was held in Beijing on July 20.

China Petrochemical Corporation (Sinopec Group) and China National Petroleum Corporation (CNPC) have signed agreements to become official oil and gas partners of 2022 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games in Beijing, serving as top-tier sponsors of Beijing 2022.
